Child abuse is any act committed by a parent or caregiver that damages a child’s physical,emotional and psychological well-being. It is an act which is deemed inappropriate by community values and/or professionals. Child abuse may be in the form of Physical Abuse, Emotional & Psychological Abuse, Sexual Abuse and Neglect. It often is a combination of the various types of abuse.

Set up in May 2013, Big Love Child Protection Specialist Centre’s main objective is to help families with child protection concerns to improve their functioning and resilience by providing child-centric, family-focused and community-based support. Case-work management and supportive services are conducted in client’s natural environment such as homes, schools, workplaces and within their communities.
